We haven’t heard from Kelly Dodd in while, and even though that’s usually a good thing, she’s recently opened up about why she’s been laying low.

It turns out, Kelly and her husband, Rick Leventhal, have both contracted a deadly disease. Rick has been diagnosed and recovered once from the disease, but Kelly has never had an experience with it before.

She opened up on her Instagram stories about the scary experience and what they’re doing to fight the disease.
